mass gets it right?

I don’t usually find interesting toys in the regular mass market of Hasbro, Fisher Price, etc. In my experience, designs are often watered down through a combination of expected consumer preferences, and cost restrictions. While the play patterns are piled on so thick even I get confused. But I am pleasantly surprised every once in awhile. While at Target the other day, I found a couple of toys from Playskool’s “Explore’N Grow” line that are pretty great. This activity ball has quirky faces (they remind me of urban vinyl toy designs), bright color choices, and great visual textures. The play function is both unique and exploratory, and my daughter loves it almost as much as the box!
Kudos to the designer.
